来週行うワ－クショップに向けて鎌倉市の統計の分析を更に進めている。過去の自分のワ－クショップの参加者の要望を
取り入れ、参加者のプロフィールを見ながら、新しいデータを加えたり、視点を加えたりしている。
他の地町村との比較や、時系列での比較を入れたする。すると人口増えている開成町や他の町の動きが見える。
参加者対応で、建築、インターネット、コンサルタント、飲食店、不登校対応、医療保健婦、環境自然、児童養護施設の卒業後の問題を、統計と関連する箇所を探す。
面白い、面白いが、数字に溺れ、何がしたいかわからなくなる。また数字が表せないことがあることを忘れる。
例えば人口増加の競争に、数字の獲得に飲み込めれていいのか、失われるものはないのか。犠牲者はいないのか。
それより、統計同士の繋がり、つながらないものを、失われたものを見つけることは出来ないのか。

What Numbers Reveal, What They Hide, and What We Lose Sight Of
As I prepare for the workshop scheduled next week, I'm delving deeper into the analysis of statistical data from Kamakura City. Incorporating feedback from participants of my previous workshops, I'm enriching the profile analysis with new data and perspectives.
Comparing with other regions and analyzing over time, the trends in areas like Kaisei Town, where the population is increasing, become clear.
The workshop participants come from various fields: architecture, internet, consulting, food and beverage, solutions for truant children, medical care, environmental conservation, and issues faced by children graduating from care facilities. We are exploring significant points indicated by statistical data in each of these fields.
Indeed, data analysis is fascinating. However, it's easy to get lost in numbers and forget the original purpose. We must also remember that there are things that numbers cannot express.
For instance, in the race for population growth, should we be consumed by the pursuit of numbers? What are we losing in this process? Are there any victims?
More importantly, we should focus on finding the connections between statistical data and identifying what is lost, what cannot be captured by statistics.
We ought to be mindful of what numbers reveal, what they conceal, and what we tend to overlook.
